Outdoor Training Policies and Procedures
All athletes must wash hands prior to coming to a training session. Upon returning home, all athletes must wash their hands again.
Cones, rope, or other materials will be used to mark spots on the ground to keep athletes socially distanced. Given the nature of exercise, we will use one of the three configurations:
Configuration 1: Lanes each 6-10 feet wide for athletes to run, sprint, jump, etc. Each lane would have one athlete.
Configuration 2: Squares that are 10×10 feet each athlete works out in the middle of the square. Squares form a circle around the trainer in the middle. Ample distance is provided between athletes and coaches to allow for movement within each square.
Configuration 3: Form a circle with athletes 6-10 feet apart to do core circuits, plyometrics, and other exercises.
Athletes must bring their own water bottles.
Champions Hall Spaces (Turf / Courts)
Athletes must enter the building using the MAIN ENTRANCE – Turf side of the building.
Please have your athlete wait in their car to enter the building until a Fortis coach comes out to usher the athletes in and help direct them through the building. If you arrive late, you can enter without a coach but the athlete then should wash their hands prior to starting the training session.
Parents should only accompany their child if absolutely necessary.

Indoor Gym Training Policies and Procedures
(still being updated, not finalized)
Doors to the Fortis Academy gym and to spaces throughout the building (except for the main entrance) will be open for athletes to enter without touching any door handles.
Athletes will be encouraged to bring their own weights to workouts.
Athletes should not enter the Champions Hall complex until the start of their workout time.
Each workout will last 50 minutes, giving Fortis staff ten minutes to disinfect any shared equipment, and allow the previous group to exit the building.
Parents are not allowed in the Fortis gym. Unless absolutely necessary, we ask parents not to enter Champions Hall to accompany their athletes.
Groups will be limited to 12 athletes per hour, giving each athlete 300 SQ/F to workout.
After returning home, all athletes should wash their hands.
Hockey Rink – On-Ice Camp Policies and Procedures
Plan to arrive no more than 15 minutes before your scheduled ice time.
Congregating inside the ice rink will not be permitted. Parents should not come into the rink unless absolutely necessary.
All players must get dressed at home as much as possible. Locker rooms will not be available at the rinks to change. Users will be assigned areas with chairs to put their skates on.
We will limit the ice to 20 individuals, including coaches. Drills and practice formats will be designed to maximize space between skaters.
Players must have their own water bottles. They must have a large and clearly legible name on the front and back of the water bottle.
Players may not fully disrobe and change post-skate. They must exit the building as quickly as possible.
