The Fortis Female College Hockey Prep 2021 group is for athletes that are committed to playing college hockey, are already enrolled in college hockey, and those recently graduated looking to further their career. Athletes are selected to be a part of this training program. There are two training phases to this program – a spring supplement and main summer intensive program. This program is all-encompassing. Our mission is to help high-end athletes improve themselves academically, athletically, and mentally.
Testing: vertical jump, skater lunge jump, broad jump, 20 yard dash, 40 yard dash, and on-ice skating top velocity, acceleration, and S-pattern test.
Goal setting and mentorship meetings: each athlete will have a private meeting with the Fortis coaching staff to go over their goals in a variety of domains ranging from hockey to academics to family. We will schedule one meeting in the spring/early summer and one in August.
Viverant Physical Therapy performance and injury risk assessment. We will use cutting edge research to analyze strength measurements and movement patterns to address injury risks and suboptimal performance areas.
Academic and career evaluations with Coach Juno. These meetings will go over everything from academic plans while playing junior hockey to reviewing college classes.
