The Fortis Hockey Dryland Training program is designed for coaches that want to provide their hockey teams with high quality dryland training throughout the season. Below is the simple process for effectively using our programs:
Pick a program for your team based on the needs of your players. If your team lacks upper body strength and shot speed but is quick and skates well, start with an upper body focused program. If your team is strong but doesn’t skate the best, consider our stride mechanics program.
Train 2-3x a week for 4-6 weeks. We generally advise against going longer than six weeks on a given program as your athletes will most likely tire of doing the same type of training. Consider changing up the workouts when you notice a plateau in improvement and engagement.
