MSA Fortis is an off-season club soccer program pilot designed to help keep multi-sport athletes (MSA) engaged in the game of soccer at a stage in a student athlete’s life when training becomes more time intensive and MSA athletes are often forced to opt out of more competitive soccer teams. Our first team will be a girls 2006-2008 birth years and will play in the 2006 birth year.
WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO SOLVE
1) Give multi-sport athletes an opportunity to continue to play a sport they love without the ever-increasing pressure to specialize in soccer.
2) Provide flexible training options and times that are MSA-friendly.
3) Provide quality coaching and game experience while keeping costs reasonable.
Optional skill training for 1 hour on Sunday mornings
2X per week optional practice (TBD)
10 games scheduled as “friendlies” with skill-appropriate opponents
1 tournament (local)
We do not have an exact estimate on cost but the goal of this program is to keep the playing costs as affordable as possible. To commit to playing on the team, we are asking for a down payment of $500 that will go toward the total cost of the team.
If your athlete is interested in participating, please fill out the interest form at the bottom of this page.
TBD, new hire (we will coordinate the search)
